S.M.A.R.T---logo & hashtag

Iako su putovanja, u sklopu Erasmus+ programa, za sada odgođena, naši učenici marljivo rade na projektnim aktivnostima.

Trebali smo osmisliti logo za projekt Sharing memorable adventures and rich traditions.

Istituto Tecnico Industriale S. Cannizzaro, Catania, Italy

GENERAL

The Institute is a Technical High School, named S. Cannizzaro, with over 120 teachers and about 1000 students ages 14 to 19. S. Cannizzaro has the following specializations: Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanics. In the system of an Internships Program the school gives its students the opportunity to work with local companies and thanks to the collaboration of universities, companies, and training organizations students can apply their knowledge in the “real world job” outside the classroom and gain experience in their specific field of study.

MOTIVATION

The students that attend the school mostly come from uneducated and financially disadvantaged or unemployed families. The economic and social conditions the students live in, do not create positive motivation for learning. That’s why S. Cannizzaro wants to cooperate with foreign schools in order to keep the students from dropping out of high school and give them an important boost of academic energy. At this time of high unemployment in Europe, it is important to give our students a basic culture that can have a value in Europe. Employment, jobs, entrepreneurship, and business are important subjects for students. Offering a European experience to students, sharing our believes and values with schools in Europe is an opportunity to feel “European”. This will be an invaluable resource in seeking to address and alleviate the causes of social exclusion, promote good citizenship, enrich culture and enhance youth employability.

BRG/BORG 15, Vienna, Austria

GENERAL

BRG/BORG 15 is a public academic secondary school, a "Realgymnasium", that is attended by approximately 620 students aged between 10-18, 62 teachers and two native assistant teachers. Most of our students speak a first language other than German. About half of the pupils with migrant background hold Austrian citizenship. The majority of pupils are „second or third generation“ immigrants, whose parents emigrated from various countries including the Balkan States, Poland and Turkey.

Students of our upper levels (aged 14-18) can either specialise in European Studies, in Media Studies or in Science. The school also offers various extra-curricular activities e.g. Chemistry and Physics Olympiade, School choir, German (Communication and Presentation Skills), Peer Mediation, Pre-Academic Training and Social learing. (www.brgorg15.at)

Our European High School branch focuses on educating students about Europe and the European Union. Learning about political decision making processes in the European Union and its institutions, as well as geography and common cultural or historical events is part of the curriculum of the subject European Studies, which is taught at our school. We aim to connect our students with others from all over Europe and help them with developing important teamworking and self-organisational skills through national and international projects in various directions. Topic-related and curriculum-based excursions and workshops are part of our daily school life.

LPO la fontaine des eaux, Dinan, France

GENERAL

The school district is composed of a polyvalent high school with a general and technological high school, a vocational training section (SEP) and an apprenticeship training unit under the CFA of the national education system, as well as a vocational high school. A total of 300 people work there (200 teachers and 100 administrative, technical and technical staff, etc.). The Lycée Polyvalent offers:

- At the LGT: the 3 general courses (S, ES, L) and 2 technological sectors Science and Technology of Merchandising and Management (STMG), Science and Technology of Industry and Sustainable Development (STI2D), as well as sections of senior technicians in the tertiary (BTS Management of SMEs, Accounting and Management) and industrial (BTS Fluids, Energy, Home Automation, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and HVAC) sectors. Some BTS students continue their apprenticeship training.

- At the SEP: a versatile CAP agent for catering and 2 bachelor's degrees in the field of health and social affairs.

- A vocational school, vocational training courses in the tertiary and industrial sectors. The reason why our school has decided to embark on a project of this nature is first and foremost to internationalize our school through cooperation and exchanges both pedagogical and cultural with the other member partners involved in the project. This project will enable students to develop cultural openness and know-how at local and European level, to create interactions between Europeans through motivating and innovative activities, to put more digital tools at the service of student learning, to build a European citizen through cooperation and exchanges. For teachers it will be an opportunity to improve our pedagogical skills by sharing good practices and methods with European colleagues and to develop the European dimension of teaching. We wish to work with the least motivated pupils who are dropping out of school in order to encourage and integrate them, particularly those of foreign origin, into a European dimension. We wish to foster and develop their autonomy through interdisciplinary and cooperative learning, improve their language skills and promote responsible and active citizen among our students.

IES Teguise, Teguise, Spain

Our High school is located in Teguise. Teguise is a village in the island of Lanzarote which is the fourth biggest island concerning its area. It is a tourist island which has an area of 845,9 square kilometres. Our students range from 12 to 22 years old on average. They come from varied social and economic backgrounds.
